TRE (Tension & Trauma Release Exercise) is an innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma.  Many develop copying mechanisms to deal with stress, anxiety & trauma that further taxes the body, specifically the nervous system.  Each trauma leaves a mark in the body and influence the way we deal with situations from there on.

Created by Dr. David Berceli, PhD, TRE safely activates a natural reflex mechanism of sharing or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming the nervous system.  When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a state of balance.

During the workshop we will:
  • Introduce the TRE method and discuss personal tremoring experience
  • Review anatomy, neurology and physiology of stress and trauma as it relates to TRE
  • Perform the TRE series of exercises, which evoke a natural tremoring response and practice self-regulation
  • Conclude with gentle relaxation exercises to allow the body and mind to settle and integrate.
Participants must bring to class a thick yoga mat and blanket, personal water bottle and wear loose comfortable clothing.

Please note, as a precautionary measure, pregnant women should not participate.
